Our story

The idea started with the view from our living room.

So Grilliant began.

Our BBQ sits where we can see it from inside our Melbourne home. Around it were the things we loved. Outdoor furniture, greenery, pots and a striped cushion. And then there was the black BBQ cover. It protected the BBQ, but every time we looked outside, it felt like the one thing that did not belong.

We kept wondering why something that spends so much time in the backyard had never been designed with the backyard in mind. So we made the BBQ cover we wanted to look at.

We could not find a BBQ cover that belonged in the backyard, so we designed one that did.

When will my order ship?

This is a pre-order. Orders are expected to begin shipping from early October. Once dispatched, Australia Post estimates Parcel Post delivery at 2 to 4 business days within Victoria and 3 to 6 business days interstate. Regional and remote locations may take longer.

Will it protect my BBQ from rain?

The woven olefin outer is water resistant and helps shed rain. Behind it, a protective inner backing is designed to stop water passing through to your BBQ.

Does it come with a storage bag?

Yes. Every cover includes an adjustable storage bag made from the same striped fabric, with a drawcord closure. It gives you a matching place to store the cover while your BBQ is in use.

How do I keep the light fabric clean?

Brush away loose dirt, then spot clean with mild soap, lukewarm water and a soft cloth. Rinse away soap residue and let the cover air dry fully before storing it in its matching bag.

Always let your BBQ cool completely before covering it.

Is the fabric UV resistant?

We chose premium woven olefin for its strength and suitability for outdoor use, with fade and UV resistance in mind. A protective inner backing adds another layer of protection for your BBQ.

Will there be other sizes or colours?

For our first release, we are keeping things simple with one size and our signature beige and white stripe. We are noting requests for other sizes as we plan what comes next.
